Ways to Create a Healthy White Smile
January 31, 2008
If you do not have the money to go to the dentist and have them perform several (sometimes only one, depending on how severe the case is) Tooth Whitening sessions, do not worry about it! You do not even have to go to Wal-Mart to purchase a Tooth Whitening kit. You will have to spend some money though, on whitening toothpaste (I would recommend Colgate Icy Blast 2 in 1 mouthwash toothpaste), mouthwash and floss.
You are probably thinking that this will not work, but just follow along the article and you can easily attain results if you follow the simple and easy instructions. You might have to have patience in order to attain whiter teeth this way (but I will say that it worked rather quickly for me).
All that you need to do is brush your teeth only once more than you already do everyday. For example, let us say that you brush your teeth only once a day only when you wake up in the mornings, brush your teeth before you go to bed as well (remember the whitening toothpaste). Also make sure that you add mouthwash to your routine, this is the main killer for yellow teeth and the creator of a brighter whiter smile. Just gargle for 30 seconds and spit it out! (The longer you gargle, the whiter your teeth will get though). There are some fun Tooth Whitening tips for you!
Turquoise Necklace Facts and Beliefs
January 30, 2008
‘Pieces of sky.’ That’s how turquoise was called by some Native American tribes. Indeed, it requires no great stretch of the imagination to understand why turquoise was referred to as such. Just as the heavens could be a peaceful or stormy blue, so could turquoise seem to express different moods with its different shades of blue and green. Wearing pieces of sky in a turquoise necklace is a provocative and attractive idea.
Known as the birthstone of December, turquoise can be opaque or translucent, and a turquoise necklace made of beads conveys an iridescent, whimsical effect. Some jewelry designers set their turquoise necklaces in platinum, silver, or gold; at times, they use other gemstones in conjunction with turquoise for a complementary, enhancing effect. Chokers or neckbands decorated with turquoise are also popular as fashion accessories.
Necklaces made from Persian or Iranian turquoise are the most expensive, since this variety of turquoise is considered to be of the highest quality. However, less expensive varieties are available from Mexican, Chinese, Egyptian and American sources. Turquoise necklaces are popular items in Native American and Southern jewelry collections, but by and large, they have found their way into mainstream culture. They are perfect for casual wear, especially during summer, but can also be worn combined with other jewels for more formal occasions. Socialite Nicky Hilton, country singer Lari White and actress Ali Landry are some of the celebrities who have been photographed wearing turquoise necklaces.
Cost of Non Prescription Color Contacts
January 30, 2008
Cost of non prescription color contacts can vary quite a bit depending on where you buy them. If the cost of non prescription color contacts is an issue for you, check around before you buy.
The cost of non prescription color contacts can be researched in several ways. The first way to research the cost of non prescription color contacts is online. There are many sites that will give you the information you need about the cost of non prescription color contacts.
The only problem you may encounter in looking at the cost of non prescription color contacts is the availability of this kind of contact lenses. The low cost of non prescription color contacts isn’t quite what it seems because you actually do need a prescription. This can be deceptive.

Once again you may be surprised because the cost of non prescription color contacts may not be quite what you were led to believe. This is why it is important to make some phone calls about the cost of non prescription color contacts.
Exercise and Your Plastic Surgery
January 29, 2008
Cosmetic surgery can make an exciting and lasting difference in the way your face and body look. Many see the results as ‘life-changing’. You will feel more confident and positive about yourself. It marks the beginning of a new attitude about you and your health. When you look good you’ll want to maintain that appearance. Not surprisingly, many start incorporating exercise and better eating habits into their daily routine, habits that will help you look and feel younger longer. The better your physical condition is prior to surgery, the better your surgical outcome will be. Elective surgery will give you time to prepare to be as healthy as possible. An added bonus for those who are fit beforehand is they won’t gain as much weight when they are inactive after surgery. Because you have more muscle from an active lifestyle your metabolism will remain higher. You will be given strict instructions by your doctor on when to return to an exercise regimen. It’s usually three to four weeks after a facelift, and a month after any type of body surgery, like breast augmentation or liposuction. Once back to working out or starting up for the first time then it’s best to build up slowly.
Belly Fat and Cellulite Realities and Remedies
January 28, 2008
About Consumer products: As a scientist coming from the drug industry and skincare industry I find it interesting how companies exploit human insecurities. We all have fat cells which store fat; our bodies are designed to do that. While society today may perceive belly fat and cellulite as unattractive it is a fact of life. Most marketers want to make that promise of a miracle diet, exercise routine, treatment, pill or cream… Isn’t it time you stop trusting those miracle cures which promise everything.
Understanding Metabolism is the Key: The reality is cellulite and belly fat can be controlled but not using any one method or treatment. Sugar metabolizes (lipogenisis) into fat making fat cells swell often in clusters giving the appearance of an orange peel surface on skin. Eventually the body metabolizes (lipolysis) this fat into glycerol which is eventually eliminated from cells.
How to lose belly fat and cellulite: A great idea for regulating your cellulite and belly fat is to reduce sugar conversion into fat while boosting the conversion of existing fat into glycerol allowing fat cells to shrink in size. In simple terms, boost your metabolic rate while reducing sugar and simple carbohydrates in your diet.
Threader Earrings — a Fashion Jewelry Success Story
January 27, 2008
New jewelry fashions need several factors going for them if they are to succeed. These include aesthetics, price, timing, and maybe even just sheer, plain luck. Threader earrings seem to have all these qualities in abundance. Also known as earthreads or ear strings, threader earrings have a very large following, especially among the young set, who think that they are and cool.
Threader earrings are exactly what they sound like: a length of a thin chain that the wearer threads through one or more ear piercings. The chain is attached to a small metal bar ? called a lead — on one end, and the other end is adorned with decorative materials such as gems, beads, or crystals. The wearer first inserts the lead, slides the chain through the piercing and then just lets the earring dangle. Threader earrings are especially attractive in individuals with two or more earlobe piercings because they can mix and match designs, and even knot or weave the chains of the threader earrings together to create a funky effect.
Mexican Living: Haircuts, Doctors, and Things
January 26, 2008
There is a universal, absolute, immutable, infrangible, and inviolable fact of the universe (like gravity and bad breath) that one rarely considers: No matter what you tell your haircut person (notice how nonsexist that was) about how you want your hair cut it will NEVER come out the way you want it, EVER!
You will get the haircut the person who is cutting your hair wants to give you.
This has always been true since Adam first asked Eve to cut his hair and it came out looking like the raccoon he just named. This is true. It’s in the Bible.
This has always been my experience whenever I went to the barber in the United States. He or she (there I am again acknowledging both sexes) would ask me how I wanted to have my haircut. I would mumble something incomprehensible, to which they would always say,
“Alrighty, let’s see what we can do.”
In addition, it would come out looking like the haircut person wanted it to. I would tell them thank you, pay them a fortune, and walk out with my head hung low.
Do You Want To Look Ten Years Younger?
January 25, 2008
Do you want to look ten years younger?
Here are twelve beauty tips that are guaranteed to work, if you follow them *all*. There’s no point eating fresh fruit and vegetables, and then smoking like a chimney!
1. Moisturise.
This is a misnomer, you can’t actually put water in your skin. You can, however, oil it up (like leather!), and trap water next to the skin.
After every wash, put an inert oil on your face. Johnson’s Baby Oil is good. Put it especially on your laughter-lines (around the eyes), your forehead, around the mouth and on the neck.
You don’t need expensive ointments; independent studies show these are a con.
2. Eat Good Food.
Eat plenty of fruit, fish and vegetables, drink water. A healthy diet makes for a healthy body, and health makes you look younger.
3. Sleep.
MOST IMPORTANT.
At least eight hours. A good night’s kip will make you look years younger.
Go to bed before midnight, as early as possible. You’ve had enough when you bound out of bed in the morning, full of energy. If you don’t, you need more, or you’re depressed, or you went to bed after midnight.

The Pearl Necklace — A Timeless Beauty
January 24, 2008
It has been said that of all the pieces of jewelry in the world, a pearl necklace is the only thing that a woman should not be without. And that’s no wonder, for a pearl necklace is the embodiment of classic sophistication and timeless elegance. It goes with a variety of outfits, from casual day wear to formal evening attire. And depending on the type of pearl and color, there are various pearl necklace styles suitable for the very young, those enjoying their golden years, and almost everyone else in the middle.
The price of a pearl necklace depends on the quality of its pearls. Saltwater pearls are generally more expensive than freshwater ones, which are cultured. The sheen and the thickness of the pearls’ nacre also affect the price, as well as the size and roundness of the pearls themselves. Pearl necklaces of various colors are available on the market. Smaller pearls in light hues of blue or pink are usually more suitable for young children, while the creamier, ivory-toned pearls are preferred by older women. Jewelry pieces made from black pearls are very, very expensive, since these pearls are so rare.
